Update March 25, 2021


Combat

  1. You are no longer shown the combat screen for combats that you are not leading.
  2. The AI will spend less on mercenaries if it already expects to beat you.
  3. The decisions while negotiating a retreat from attack now show the combatants and fleet strengths in the description.
  4. The combat buildup window can now be dragged correctly, and will stay where you place it.
  5. It is no longer possible to threaten your master with rebellion if they do not retreat from an attack in which they are trying to depose you.
  6. Clarified tactic effect description for Threaten Colony.
  7. Fixed bug where Decapitate battle tactic was effecting your Commander.

Suggestions

  1. Suggestions with multiple elements will now focus on each element in turn when clicked multiple times.
  2. You can right-click on a suggestion to hide it for four turns.
  3. Suggestions were sometimes not being displayed properly when holding a claim to a collapsed colony or dead faction.

Marriage

  1. Rulers are less likely to marry off their children as soon as they come of age.
  2. When a couple in love get married, the romance ends without negative emotions.
  3. It is no longer possible for an acting head to marry a character if, as a result, they would leave the house.
  4. When you marry off a character, they no longer get reported as a departing visitor.

Politics

  1. When a vassal faction is conquered, its territory no longer splinters into seperate factions, but is immediately reabsorbed into the master faction of its former league.
  2. When a system rebellion succeeds on the capital of a vassal faction, its territory no longer splinters into seperate factions, but is immediately reabsorbed into the master faction of its former league.
  3. When you ask a vassal to step down, they are now more likely to accept if they are related to you or the replacement, or if they are a coward.
  4. The AP cost of making a request for vassalage or submission has been brought in line with that of asking for a change of allegiance.
  5. Fixed game halting bug when a system was being conquered in a war championing an owning claim to it for a faction that has been destroyed.
  6. Fixed a bug where some emotions were inverted when a master buries the hatchet with a new subject.
  7. The Rebellion action is now also shown in the context action list of your archon.

Starting Traits

  1. The colony traits that provide an effectiveness bonus now work correctly.
  2. "Lack of Discipline" starting trait now correctly effects Military.
  3. Fixed double effects being shown on the tooltip for some starting traits.

Economy

  1. Added Infrastructure Level map mode.
  2. When a baron inherits a faction, their gross income on that turn is now updated to be the gross income of the faction.
  3. Fixed wrong modifier being displayed in Income tab for Easy/Hard difficulty.

General

  1. Reduced some popups related to combat, inheritance.
  2. A secret now has an icon that appears when other characters are aware of the secret (mouse over for list).
  3. Can filter by adult/child in Contacts window.
  4. Added a tooltip to the date indicator in the bottom right that shows the turn number and the game difficulty setting.
  5. The save game tooltip now shows the difficulty level of the saved game.
  6. The contrasted character label in the bottom left was not always being updated correctly.
  7. When a secret is revealed, any cover up assignments on that secret are immediately stopped.
  8. Double barrel names are now capitalized correctly.
  9. Minor improvements to tutorial.
  10. Minor tweaks to story events, text and tooltips.
